Community Outreach

Our team members at Columbus High School Robotics have done many things to help the community such as conducting events with girl scout troops, helping elementary school robotics teams, and public demonstrations around the city of Columbus.

Two of our own seniors, Brandon King and Galen Bidleman have been mentoring two elementary schools' FLL (FIRST Lego League) teams this year. Stowers and Dexter, both schools on Ft. Benning, have made substantial progress in designing, building and programming their own lego robots with the help of our outreaching students. Also, Farita Tasnim, a junior, has been mentoring another FLL team at Girls Inc. Our students have inspired many young engineers through these robotics programs, as well as doing many demonstrations of our team's robots around Columbus.

Our team did a demonstration at the Coca-Cola Space Science Center at the end of the BEST build season to display our engineering proficiency and robot abilities.

We plan to host many more events in the offseason to inspire future generations to pursue careers in STEM fields.
